How to Get Freebies
For Shipped Items
- Browse: Visit Freebies page
- Claim: Click "Claim This Item"
- Enter Info: Provide shipping address
- Pay Shipping: Only pay actual shipping cost (usually $5-15)
- Receive: Item ships within 3-5 business days
For Local Pickup Items
- Find Nearby: Filter by your location
- Contact Donor: Send message to arrange pickup
- Schedule Time: Agree on pickup date/time
- Pickup: Bring transportation for larger items
- Leave Review: Thank the donor!
For Giveaways/Contests
- Enter: Follow entry instructions (like, share, comment)
- Wait: Winner announced on deadline date
- Claim: Winners notified via email
- Receive: Shipped free to winner
Freebie Rules & Guidelines
Fair Use Policy
- One Per Person: Limit one freebie per person per week
- Genuine Need: Priority to those who need items (not resellers)

How to Donate Items
Have items to give away? Share with the community!
Acceptable Donations
- Clothing and shoes (gently used, clean)
- Electronics (working condition)
- Books, toys, games
- Household items, furniture
- Tools, sports equipment
Cannot Accept
- ❌ Broken or non-functional items
- ❌ Stained, torn, or damaged clothing
- ❌ Mattresses or upholstered furniture (hygiene concerns)
- ❌ Expired food, cosmetics, or medicines
- ❌ Weapons or dangerous items
How to List
- Login to your account
- Go to "List a Freebie"
- Upload photos and description
- Choose: Ship or Local Pickup
- Submit (approved within 24 hours)
Tax Deductions
Donating items to GLRelief freebies program:
- Tax Deductible: GLRelief is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 52-XXXXXXX)
- Receipt Provided: Documentation for tax purposes
- Fair Market Value: You determine value for tax deduction
- IRS Guidelines: Follow IRS rules for charitable contributions
