Robotics workbook β outlines, parts, tools, wiring, and control next to the video.
Typical parts (adjust to your design)
- Brain: MCU board (e.g. Arduino-class, ESP32, RP2040) β match voltage and I/O count.
- Motion: DC gear motors + wheel hubs, or steppers for precision; motor driver (H-bridge / driver IC).
- Sensing: ultrasonic/IR distance, IMU, encoders, line sensors β pick 1β2 for v1.
- Power: battery pack (NiMH or Li-ion with **BMS**), fuse, switch, regulator if needed.
- Mechanical: chassis plate, standoffs, screws; optional 3D-printed brackets.
Tools
- Multimeter, soldering iron + solder, wire stripper, small screwdrivers.
- Breadboard + jumper wires for bring-up; later perfboard or PCB.
- USB cable for programming; optional logic analyzer / scope for debug.
