Assembly order β thermal paste, cables, torque
Laptop workbook β parts, assembly, firmware, and troubleshooting next to the video.
Order of work
- Photograph screw positions; use magnetic mapping if needed.
- Install CPU (if socketed) per arrow alignment; never force pins.
- Mount cooler with correct paste amount (pea/line per HSF design); tighten in a cross pattern if screws.
- Seat RAM until latches click; insert M.2 at ~30Β° then secure screw.
- Route cables before closing β pinched display cables cause intermittent faults.
Tip. First boot can be βbare board + power + external displayβ on some bench setups; laptops usually need the internal panel connected for firmware behavior β follow your vendor guide.
