Bench & holding
- Sturdy bench, bench pin, ring clamp / engravers ball vise.
- Good task lighting + magnification (optivisor / microscope).
Hand tools
- Files, saw frames & blades, pliers, calipers, dividers, rawhide/brass hammers.
- Burs & flexible shaft or micromotor for seats and detailing.
Heat & metal
- Torch + regulators, pickle pot (ventilation), soldering picks, third hands.
- Rolling mill, draw plate (optional early; can start with purchased mill products).
Polishing & safety
- Buffing machine with guards, dust collection, safety glasses / face shield.
- Fire extinguisher, first aid, SDS for chemicals.
