Configure your database connection

MAMP Default Settings

Host: localhost
Port: 8889 (MAMP MySQL) or 3306 (standard)
Username: root
Password: root (default)
Database: Create a new database or use existing one

MAMP default: 8889 | Standard MySQL: 3306
Create this database in phpMyAdmin if it doesn't exist

Next Steps

  1. Make sure MAMP MySQL is running
  2. OR use Create Database to auto-create it
  3. Enter your database credentials above
  4. Click "Test Connection"
  5. If successful, click "Save Configuration"
  6. Then run Installation to create tables
